Katie Yang is a Hmong, Lao, and Lahu American singer-songwriter and vocalist from Jacksonville, FL, moving fluidly across R&B, Pop, Alternative, and Rock by not chasing genre, but chasing truth. She first stepped on stage at 15, commanding a room before she even fully understood her own power. Life took her away from music through her teens and early twenties, but the music was always patient.
In 2023, her daughter arrived and changed everything. Motherhood cracked Katie open in the most beautiful way and brought her back to the art she was always meant to make. Now she creates with intention: for the single mothers doing the hard, invisible work of rebuilding. Her music is a space to heal, reclaim their story, invest in themselves, rest in their femininity, and feel beautifully whole again.
